A single island,
a hundred slopes.
Serendib is not a factory with a marketing story bolted on. It's a network of hill-country estates and smallholdings we've worked with for years — and everything we sell can be walked back to one of them.
Central Highlands · 1,200m
Where cool nights slow the plant down and concentrate the oils.
The place
Altitude does the work.
Our spices grow between 900 and 1,500 metres, on terraced slopes of mineral-rich soil. Up here the days are warm and the nights are cold, and that swing is the whole secret: the plant grows slowly, and slow growth is where flavour hides.
Nothing is forced. No synthetic fertiliser, no chemical ripening — just old ground, clean water, and time.

We buy directly from the families who farm these plots — no anonymous auction floor in between. That means fairer prices for them and a shorter, cleaner line for you, with a real person's name behind every lot.
Some of these partnerships are older than the company. We intend to keep them that way.

“My grandfather peeled cinnamon on this slope. Now his lot number travels to Dubai. That still surprises me.”
